Can spotting on active tablets be a symptom of pregnancy?

Hello, my question is that for a year I have been taking yasmim contraceptive pills all this time she had regular and normal bleeding but this month instead of normal bleeding there were small blood spots and I wanted to ask if this could be a symptom of pregnancy and whether to do a pregnancy test or maybe it is due to the fact that for the last few days I have not taken pills at the same time , or maybe it's a normal symptom. Thank you for your reply

Midcyclic spotting can be a symptom of pregnancy, but there is no simple way to distinguish "ordinary" spotting from implant spotting, so here an examination should be performed, e.g. ultrasound. If you have any suspicion that you may be pregnant, you can take a pregnancy test. In my opinion, however, spotting is most likely the result of irregular pill intake. If during the past months of taking Yasmin tablets spotting on active tablets did not occur and appeared suddenly, you should consult a gynecologist and conduct routine examinations. Without gynecological examination and ultrasound, it is not possible to precisely determine the causes of bleeding. Mid-cycle bleeding can also be a consequence of improperly selected contraceptives, diseases of the reproductive system, among others, inflammation or vaginal infection, sexually transmitted diseases (e.g. chlamydia), erosions or cervical polyps, uterine fibroids, and sometimes endometriosis.
