Macmiror complex 500 globules contain nifuratel and nystatin in their composition. Nifuratel destroys protozoa, bacteria and fungi. Nystatin is an antibiotic with antifungal activity, acting primarily on fungi of the genus Candida. Macmiror Complex 500 has indications for the treatment of intimate infections caused by fungi of the genus Candida spp., vaginal trichomonas (Trichomonas vaginalis) and bacteria. Gynalgin vaginal tablets contain metronidazole and chloroquinaldol. Metronidazole acts on bacteria and protozoa, and chloroquinaldol has antibacterial, antifungal and antiprotozoal properties. Gynalgin has registered indications for the treatment of vaginal infections caused by sensitive bacteria and vaginal trichomoniasis. It can also be used in mixed infections, in which pathogenic bacteria, trichomoniasis and fungi are present at the same time. Both drugs - despite similar indications - have a different composition, so they are not equivalents under a different name and cannot be used interchangeably.
