Currently, a new variant of Omikron, different from the previous ones and with a huge infectivity, is a topic of discussion when it comes to the level of protection that both natural and that which can be provided by available vaccines can provide. It is worth noting that in some recovered patients, protective antibodies are not detected after getting sick or their number is small. On the other hand, there are no standards that show how much antibodies are sufficient. Therefore, among other things, it is not recommended to perform this test in order to make a decision about vaccination. There is information that getting sick with the Delta variant may not be enough not to get sick with the Omikron variant. At the same time, it is believed that good protection can be provided by the so-called hybrid immunity, i.e. a combination of getting sick and taking a vaccine. Therefore, I am afraid that there is no way to assure you of full safety in connection with covid-19. Currently, it is recommended to vaccinate at the earliest 30 days after obtaining a positive test result for the PRESENCE OF THE SARS-CoV-2 virus, at the same time no later than within the next 3-6 months.
