Dicosen is a dietary supplement and the above dosage applies to adults. The manufacturer did not specify the dosage in children. In Poland, melatonin has not been registered for use in the treatment of children. Its long-term intake in the pediatric population has not yet been considered completely safe. I suggest starting with natural methods to make it easier to fall asleep. Chamomile tea will soothe the nerves of the child and help not only in the case of insomnia, but also colic, indigestion or teething. It is also worth using lavender oil as an additive to the bath – it is used in aromatherapy to calm down. An effective way to treat insomnia is also to eliminate naps during the day and increase its physical activity. You should also teach your child to adapt to a regular lifestyle so that he wakes up and falls asleep at the same time.
