Good morning. Can persistent drowsiness and fatigue occur during discontinuation of zoloft? I'm tired even after waking up. Will the weight return to normal on its own after discontinuation? I will only add that before zoloft I used 4 different drugs alternately and gradually the weight increased. Best regards

Yes, you may experience persistent drowsiness and tiredness during withdrawal of Zoloft. Observed side effects should be reported to the doctor, perhaps the drug is discontinued too quickly - too quickly there is a "departure from the dose" and it will be necessary to change the dosage of the drug or add another drug to the therapy. According to the manufacturer: "Usually, these symptoms are self-limiting and disappear within 2 weeks, although in some people they may last longer (2-3 months or more). Therefore, when discontinuing treatment, it is recommended to gradually reduce sertraline doses over a period of several weeks or months, depending on the patient's needs."
