To @ewcia: Most current analyses of clinical data indicate that the use of PPIs (proton pump inhibitors) does not increase the risk of developing stomach cancer.
And is it true that proton pump inhibitors cause stomach cancer?

Dexilant, as a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) medicine, is one of the components of Helicobacter pylori eradication therapy. The role of this drug in the therapy of Helicobater pylori is attributed to the direct antibacterial effect of proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) and indirect action by inhibiting the activity of urease (an enzyme thanks to which the bacterium is able to survive in a very acidic stomach environment) and increasing the activity of antibiotics used.
