Yes, the first Evra patch should be applied on the first day of natural menstruation. However, we are not able to predict what the body's reaction to the supply of hormones will be - that is, whether menstruation will end with the patch sticking. Some patients observe an increase in and prolongation of bleeding time, others a shortening or even stopping of menstruation. Withdrawal bleeding, which occurs during a 7-day break after 3 patches, is caused artificially, its cause is the lack of hormone supply during this period. This is a deliberate procedure (more here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/opinie-i-pytania/31029/kontracept-czym-rozni-sie-miesiaczka-od-krwawienia-z-odstawienia). However, it should be borne in mind that the first 2-3 months of using the patches are the so-called adaptation period, where the body adapts to the supply of hormones - during this time, withdrawal bleeding may not occur on time, bleeding and midcyclic spotting may occur. Such situations can and should not bother.
