Pain and enlargement of the lymph nodes after implantation of the contraceptive implant
Good morning, 2 weeks ago I had a contraceptive implant. A few days after the procedure, I began to feel pain in my armpit from the side after which I have the implant. Recently, the pain began to intensify and I additionally felt enlarged lymph nodes. I will add that for 4 days I have been struggling with a cold. Can painful and enlarged stomachs in the armpit be related to implantation?

Tego typu objawy wymagają konsultacji z lekarzem. Ból i reakcja w miejscu podania implantu mogą wystąpić, jednak ich utrzymywanie się przez okres 2 tygodni po podaniu wymaga konsultacji.
Niewykluczone, że nasilenie bólu i powiększenie węzłów chłonnych ma związek z infekcją. Samodzielnie pacjent nie jest w stanie jednak ocenić stanu węzłów chłonnych. Polecam wizytę u lekarza pierwszego kontaktu, który oceni, czy węzły chłonne są rzeczywiście powiększone i w razie potrzeby zleci dodatkowe badania w celu ustalenia przyczyny dolegliwości.
