Metocard to lek obniżający ciśnienie krwi, obniża też tętno i przeciwdziała objawom choroby niedokrwiennej serca. W przypadku objawów związanych z chorobą niedokrwienną serca znaczną poprawę obserwuje się po kilku tygodniach, w niektórych przypadkach nawet po kilku miesiącach leczenia.
