After what time can you take the next dose of Pyrantelum?
Good morning. Can an adult take the second dose of pyrantelum tablets 10 days after taking the first one? Probably, pinworms appeared again. Thank you for your reply and best regards.

For adults, the second dose should be taken 2 or 3 weeks after the first dose. For @OlaA: A single dose is usually enough. Only when the effect is unsatisfactory, the treatment can be repeated after 2-3 weeks. It is not necessary to take 3 doses.
And whether it is recommended to take 3 doses of the drug, i.e. the first - 2 weeks each. the second - after another 2 weeks. third? The doctor recommended for the whole family and I wonder if two is not enough since the first one helped.

U osób dorosłych drugą dawkę należy powtórzyć po 2-3 tygodniach od pierwszej dawki. Pyrantelum działa tylko na dorosłe osobniki, a nie na ich jaja, dlatego powtórzenie dawki zadziała na wylęgnięte owsiki z jaj, które przetrwały pierwszą dawkę leku. Co ważne, jeżeli mieszka Pani z kimś jeszcze, to takiemu leczeniu powinni się poddać wszyscy domownicy. Warto również zadbać o wypranie w wysokiej temperaturze pościeli, ubrań i ręczników. Po skończonym leczeniu należy wykonać kontrolne badania na obecność owsików. Jeżeli po drugiej dawce wciąż będą obserwowane problemy, to należy skonsultować sprawę z lekarzem.
