Is it normal for me to gain weight after Thyrozol?

Hello, I recently started the diagnosis of the thyroid gland. For a short period of time I lost 8 kg. After the consulates with the doctor, I got thyrozol 20mg tablets. I have been taking the tablets for over 3 weeks and I noticed that my weight again reaches 50kg, i.e. I am gaining a lot of weight again. Is this normal?

Thyrozol contains thiamazole, which stops the excessive production of thyroid hormones for whatever reason. It follows that you have been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, which may be a symptom of intense weight loss. Therefore, weight gain is possible during treatment with Thyrozole. According to the documentation of the drug: "This is the correct reaction of the body. Thyrozole affects thyroid hormones that control energy consumption in the body." While under the care of an endocrinologist, you should have cyclic tests to determine whether the concentration of thyroid hormones is normal.
