Producent leku Palladia nie wyjaśnia, dlatego leku nie należy kruszyć. Potencjalnie może to być spowodowane gorzkim smakiem rozkruszonej tabletki, co utrudnia jej podanie. Być może fakt, iż jest to lek przeciwnowotworowy wpływa na zalecenia dotyczące podawania - kruszenie tabletek zwiększa ryzyko bezpośredniego kontaktu substancji cytotoksycznej ze skórą dłoni osoby podającej lek, przed czym potencjalnie mogłaby chronić osłonka tabletki.

W sklepach zoologicznych dostępne są specjalnie aplikatory ułatwiające podawanie tabletek zwierzętom oraz specjalne "cukierki", w których wnętrzu można umieścić tabletkę. Być może jedna z tych metod okaże się pomocna.
