Will the reactions disappear, or is the drug poorly chosen?

Hi I have been using amitriptylinum vp for 9 days. I feel terrible I do not want anything I do not feel like anything and I react to everything nervously. I have a lot more depressive states than I had before taking this medication. In addition, my doctor prescribed me Depakine chronoshere which I take only in the evening. The doctor says that some people react like that at first. I am afraid that this drug will not help and will make me crazy. Will such a reaction disappear? Is it a poorly chosen drug.

Amitriptylinum VP należy do grupy trójpierścieniowych leków przeciwdepresyjnych. Pierwsze efekty leczenia są widoczne na ogół dopiero po dwóch tygodniach, czasami później. Niekiedy na początku u pacjentów, u których występuje depresja, może wystąpić pogorszenie rozumiane jako nasilenie myśli o samobójstwie lub samookaleczeniu. Niekiedy początki terapii mogą być trudne także ze względu na występowanie działań niepożądanych leków. Mogą one z czasem być mniej nasilone.

W związku z powyższym nie można jednak po zaledwie 9 dniach leczenia ocenić, że lek został źle dobrany. Natomiast o wszelkich niepokojących objawach należy rozmawiać z lekarzem, w szczególności, jeśli widać, że depresja lub lęk nasiliły się lub wystąpiły niepokojące zmiany w zachowaniu.
