Z uwagi na to, że oba leki należą do tej samej grupy terapeutycznej - trójpierścieniowych leków przeciwdepresyjnych - ich jednoczesne stosowanie nie tylko może prowadzić do nasilenia działania, jak i zwiększenia ryzyka wystąpienia działań niepożądanych.

Jeśli leki zostały przepisane przez różnych lekarzy konieczna jest konsultacja z nimi, czy oba mogą być stosowane.
Jeśli leki zapisał ten sam specjalista, należy uważnie przestrzegać otrzymanych zaleceń.
