Will the use of antispasmodics such as No-Spa and Scopolan not worsen diarrhea and vomiting?

Drotaweryna (substancja czynna leku No-Spa) hamuje fosfodiesterazę IV (PDE IV) - jest selektywnym inhibitorem PDE IV. W dużym skrócie: "selektywne inhibitory PDE IV mogą być przydatne w leczeniu zaburzeń z nadmierną aktywnością ruchową jelit oraz różnych chorób, którym towarzyszą stany skurczowe przewodu pokarmowego" - stad możliwość wykorzystanie tego leku w leczeniu objawów biegunki i wymiotów.
Zarówno No-Spa, jak i Scopolan nie mają działania prokinetycznego, nie będą przyspieszały pasażu jelitowego, co mogłoby nasilać objawy biegunki.
