Nie ma przeciwwskazań do stosowania ostropestu plamistego podczas terapii nadciśnienia lekami zawierającymi amlodypinę, walsartan, hydrochlorotiazyd oraz nebiwolol. Ostropest jest bezpieczną w stosowaniu rośliną, która bardzo rzadko powoduje działania niepożądane oraz zwykle nie wchodzi w interakcje z innymi preparatami.
