After an injection with Metoclopramide after 8-9 hours I took Apap Extra, do I have reasons to worry?
Good morning, after the injection with metoclopramide, after about 8-9 hours I took one tablet of Apap Extra 500mg. Seeing the description of the leaflet of the antiemetic drug I see that it can not be combined with paracetamol, which the doctor did not inform me about. With such an interval, should I worry about the danger of the interaction of both drugs? I would like to add that I permanently use a contraceptive implant. Thank you for your reply

Metoklopramid przyspiesza motorykę przewodu pokarmowego, co może wpływać na absorpcję paracetamolu. Interakcja ta posiada niewielkie znaczenie kliniczne. Wykazano, że łączna ilość paracetamolu absorbowana w przewodzie pokarmowym nie ulega znaczącym zmianom.
Proszę pamiętać, że stosowanie powyższej kombinacji leków może przyśpieszyć działanie paracetamolu, co w wielu przypadkach przyniesie korzyści terapeutyczne.
Ponieważ między podaniem Metoclopramidu i zażyciem Apapu Extra minęło 8-9 godzin i jak rozumiem było to jednorazowe zdarzenie to nie ma powodów do niepokoju.
