Can I use Gripex and Theraflu for hypertension?

Good morning, please let me know if I can give mom gripex or teraflu for colds with elevated temperature and runny nose. Mom is 80 years old, has 2 heart attacks and is taking medication for hypertension and blood-thinning Pradaxa 110 mg

Dzień Dobry,

Gripex i Theraflu zawierają zawierają substancję - pseudoefedrynę, która może podwyższać ciśnienie krwi.

Lepszym wyborem będzie zastosowanie preparatu z paracetamolem oraz aerozolu z xylometazoliną (np. Nasic, Xylometazolin Teva). Aerozol powinien być stosowany 5-7 dni kierując strumień aerozolu na zewnętrzne skrzydło nosa. Aerozol stosowany w poprawny sposób nie powinien wpływać na choroby towarzyszące.
