Are heart problems a contraindication to cipronex?

Hello, the doctor prescribed me cipronex 500 for a urinary tract infection. I have an arrhythmia and an aneurysm of the inter ventricular septum, can I take it without fear.

Schorzenia kardiologiczne nie są przeciwwskazaniem do stosowania leku Cipronex.
Szczególną ostrożność zachować powinni jednak pacjenci, u których występują czynniki ryzyka wydłużenia odstępu QT mogącego prowadzić do komorowych zaburzeń rytmu serca, m.in. pacjenci z chorobami serca bądź przyjmujący niektóre leki przeciwarytmiczne (np. amiodaron, sotalol, prokainamid).

Jeśli lekarz, znając historię choroby zalecił stosowanie leku Cipronex, proszę postępować zgodnie z zaleceniami. Warto jednak zachować ostrożność i obserwować reakcję organizmu na lek.
