How much should I take Alpragen before the MRI?

I have been prescribed Alpragen temporarily before mri of the head. HOW much before the test I should take 0.5 mg.

Po podaniu doustnym alprazolam (składnik aktywny leku Alpragen) dobrze się wchłania z przewodu pokarmowego. Maksymalne stężenie w surowicy osiąga po 1-2 godzinach. Można zatem spotkać się z zaleceniami, aby lek zażywać na około 60 minut przed badaniem takim jak MRI, jeśli wiązać się to może z reakcją lękową pacjenta (np. wskutek klaustrofobii).

Proszę zwrócić uwagę, że alprazolam może upośledzać sprawność psycho-fizyczną - może Pani w związku z tym potrzebować asysty np. w celu dotarcia na badanie i powrotu.
