How long can it take to have unprotected intercourse if the contraceptive implant was placed on the 7th day of the cycle?
Good evening, today I was put on an implanon nxt implant (7th day of the cycle). I would like to know when in this case it will start to work and I will be able to give up additional methods of contraception? Best regards!

Jeżeli implant podskórny założono po piątym dniu miesiączki, powinna Pani stosować dodatkową metodę antykoncepcyjną (np. prezerwatywę) przez pierwszych 7 dni po założeniu. Po tym czasie ochrona jest pełna i można współżyć bez dodatkowego zabezpieczenia.
