Nie zaleca się łączenia sertraliny razem z preparatem Depresanum. Depresanum zawiera tryptofan, który jest przekształcany w serotoninę, a sertralina podwyższa stężenie serotoniny w mózgu. Połączenie tych preparatów może zwiększyć ryzyko zespołu serotoninowego (który może się objawiać drgawkami, przyspieszeniem akcji serca, gorączka, drżeniem itp.). Najlepiej zastosować sertralinę zgodnie z zaleceniami lekarza, stopniowo zwiększając jej dawkę zgodnie ze schematem leczenia i pod kontrolą specjalisty.
