Kolejne dawki leku Depo-Provera podaje się, co 12 tygodni. Jeżeli czas między kolejnymi
wstrzyknięciami jest dłuższy niż 89 dni, należy przed podaniem wykluczyć ciążę, a pacjentka powinna stosować dodatkowe (np. mechaniczne) środki antykoncepcyjne przez 14 dni po podaniu kolejnego wstrzyknięcia.
