Zawarty w produkcie leczniczym Fluomizin chlorek dekwaliniowy wykazuje działanie bakteriobójcze. Pozbawiony jest natomiast działania przeciwgrzybiczego, w związku z czym, lek ten nie będzie skuteczny w leczeniu infekcji Candida albicans, która jest zaliczana do infekcji grzybiczych.
