Ponieważ jedynie ok. 20% dawki metronidazolu znajdującego się w leku Gynalgin wchłania się do krwiobiegu, ryzyko wystąpienia przebarwień spowodowanych przebywaniem na słońcu w trakcie terapii jest niewielkie. Ponieważ jednak lek utrzymuje się w organizmie dość długo, na czas leczenia i kilka (2-3 dni) po jego zakończeniu warto unikać długotrwałej ekspozycji na promienie słoneczne.
