Jeśli lekarz uzna, że Cerazette może być pomocne celem regulacji miesiączki, to można go zastosować, aczkolwiek pierwszym wyborem są zwykle tabletki antykoncepcyjne dwuskładnikowe.
Jeśli z jakiś powodów pacjentka nie może zastosować tabletki dwuskładnikowej (np. karmi piersią, nie toleruje estrogenów), lekarz może podjąć decyzję o włączeniu tabletki jednoskładnikowej.
