Depo-Medrol and vaccination against COVID-19

Can an injection of Depo-Medrol with lidocaine be a contraindication to the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine? Today I got an injection into the shoulder joint, in two days I have a vaccination deadline.

Stosowanie glikokortykosteroidów (Depo-Medrol) nie jest bezwzględnym przeciwwskazaniem do przyjęcia szczepionki przeciwko COVID-19. W przypadku chorób przewlekłych, szczepienie zaplanować w okresie remisji - wyciszenia objawów.

W razie wątpliwości warto skonsultować się z lekarzem, który zalecił podanie leku Depo-Medrol. Tak jak wspomniałam wcześniej, przyjęcie leku nie jest przeciwwskazaniem do szczepienia i nie zwiększa ryzyka wystąpienia działań niepożądanych.
