Nie należy samodzielnie mieszać insulin. Decyzja w tej kwestii należy wyłącznie do diabetologa, bowiem jeśli lekarz z przyczyn medycznych dołoży do terapii pacjenta kolejną insulinę, modyfikacji ulegają zasady, jakimi pacjent powinien się kierować.
