Ze względu na to, że słońce może nasilać przebarwienia Skinoren krem nie powinien być używany w okresie letnim. Podczas stosowania kremu Skinoren zaleca się dodatkowe stosowanie kremów z bardzo wysokim filtrem (50+). Najbardziej odpowiednie są kremy z szerokim zakresem ochrony (minimum UVA i UVB):
