Nie, Taromentin nie jest lekiem przeciwgorączkowym. Jest to antybiotyk, zatem eliminuje bakterie odpowiedzialne za wystąpienie zakażenia.
Wraz z poprawą stanu zdrowia uzyskaną dzięki działaniu leku Taromentin gorączka spada, jednak jest to podyktowane spadkiem ilości bakterii w organizmie, nie działaniem przeciwgorączkowym leku.
