Acard w dawce 75 mg oraz 150 mg ma postać tabletek dojelitowych. Obecność otoczki powoduje, że nie następuje uszkodzenie błony śluzowej żołądka - lek uwalnia się w jelicie.
Lek Acard 300 mg ma postać konwencjonalnej tabletki, ale ma też inne wskazania do stosowania - podaje się go nie w profilaktyce, ale w zawale mięśnia sercowego lub podejrzeniu zawału mięśnia sercowego, kiedy istotny jest szybki początek działania.
