Podczas stosowania leku Epiduo, ale także u pacjentów z trądzikiem, nie jest wskazane stosowanie peelingów mechanicznych (drobinkowych), dlatego, że drobinki złuszczające i pocieranie mogą przyczynić się do podrażnienia zmian trądzikowych i roznoszenia bakterii po całej skórze twarzy, a tym samym powstawania kolejnych zmian zapalnych.

Jeśli to konieczne, można użyć delikatnych peelingów enzymatycznych raz na 1-2 tygodnie tak, aby nie podrażnić wrażliwej skóry twarzy, np. Dermedic HydraIn3 Hialuro:
