Jest to mało prawdopodobne, ze względu na fakt, że kortykosteroid zawarty w leku Fostex podawany jest wziewnie. Stosowana dawka i dawkowanie również nie należą do nawyższych.

Wystąpienie zespołu Cushinga podczas stosowania sterydów wziewnych jest znacznie mniej prawdopodobne niż w przypadku stosowania doustnych kortykosteroidów. Niemniej stosowanie kortykosteroidów wziewnych w dużych dawkach przez długi okres może spowodować w bardzo rzadkich przypadkach wystąpienie działań ogólnoustrojowych. Pacjenci przyjmujący takie wysokie dawki w sposób długotrwały powinni być okresowo badani pod kątem takich skutków ubocznych.
