Są to dwa różne preparaty.
Metocard 50 mg jest to preparat w formie tabletek zawierający 50 mg metoprololu w formie winianu. Natomiast Metocard ZK 47,5 jest to preparat w formie tabletek o przedłużonym uwalnianiu zawierający 47,5 mg bursztynianu metoprololu co odpowiada 50 mg metoprololu w formie winianu. Mimo jednakowej zawartości substancji czynnej wymienione preparaty nie mogą być stosowane jako swoje zamienniki. Wykazują odmienny profil działania (różnią się np. czasem działania).
