Stosowanie leku Acard jest przeciwwskazane u pacjentów z czynną chorobą wrzodową żołądka i/lub dwunastnicy, dlatego jeśli nadkwaśność jest związana z przebiegiem tych chorób nie należy przyjmować leku Acard.
Acard może nasilać objawy nieżytu żołądka i działać drażniąco, zwiększając ryzyko krwawień z przewodu pokarmowego. Jeśli nie zdiagnozowano przyczyny nadkwaśności (nadkwasoty) żołądka, przed rozpoczęciem terapii lekiem Acard warto skonsultować się z lekarzem, być może konieczna będzie dodatkowa diagnostyka.
