Why do my breasts hurt when taking contraceptives?
Hi, I have been taking Vixpo contraceptive pills for a year. Over the last 4 months, my breasts have started to hurt a lot. The gynecologist changed my tablets to Belara two weeks ago, but breast pain still occurs and is very disruptive. The pain always ceases during bleeding. Please advice, why could this be the case? Is there cause for concern? At the moment, unfortunately, I can not see a doctor.

Breast pain is one of the common side effects of birth control pills. It is associated with an increase in the level of hormones in the blood. And such a symptom should not bother. Probably the cessation of pain during bleeding is associated with the fact that at this time you do not provide hormones to the body. If the pain hinders daily functioning, a change in the contraceptive may be considered.
