Niezbyt częstym działaniem niepożądanym leku Lercan jest ból mięśni. Być może ból dolnej części pleców jest związany z bólami mięśniowymi. Ponadto lek może zwiększać ilość i częstotliwość oddawanego moczu. Lercan bezpośrednio nie wpływa na nerki. Lek jest metabolizowany przez enzymy wątrobowe, a następnie wydalany głównie drogą nerkową:
