Taking 2 contraceptive pills in one day does not affect the contraceptive effectiveness of the drug. Subsequent tablets should be used regularly at a fixed time. The use of 2 tablets will cause the cycle to shift by 1 day, which may cause a shift in bleeding from withdrawal. It is absolutely important to remember that the new pack of contraceptive pills will start 1 day earlier. I encourage you to familiarize yourself with additional materials that may be useful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jakie-leki-oslabiaja-skutecznosc-antykoncepcji https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-prawidlowo-stosowac-antykoncepcje

Hello, an hour after taking the pill I vomited, it probably didn't have time to be absorbed. I take the pills in the evening, or should I take 2 the next day to maintain the effectiveness of contraception?

To @Fathia:

I understand your doubts. Taking two contraceptive pills in one day does not affect their effectiveness. Continue to take your regular doses at the same time.

However, this situation will cause the cycle to be shifted by one day, which may affect the timing of withdrawal bleeding. Remember to start a new pack of contraceptive pills the day before usual.

Hello, I have some information
Today I have just started my new pill only I often forget what I am doing and I took a capsule from the pack once again, I had not realized it! Only I know that there is no risk except that suddenly I don't know if I should take the capsule of another packet since I took two capsules of the first pack? Jsp if you understood what I meant

To @Misia:

Taking the yellow and green contraceptive pills on the same day can lead to irregularities in your menstrual cycle, especially if you have mixed up the packaging. The yellow pill contains hormones, while the green one is a placebo. If you have mixed up the packaging, the appearance of bleeding may be caused by improper use of the tablets. Withdrawal bleeding should start within 2-3 days after you stop taking the yellow tablets.

I encourage you to continue taking the pills regularly and watch your cycle. If there is no bleeding after the end of the package, it is worth consulting a doctor.

Misia (Anonymous, 185.172.86.) 4 days ago

Hello, if I took the yellow and green pills on the same day, I will get normally, then after two more green pills bleeding or not? I mixed up the packages and 3 days ago I took one green one and then I started eating yellow ones and I didn't get bleeding and I guessed that it was because of the wrong packages. So today I took both yellow and green.

To @Tobby:

No, it is not recommended to take two different contraceptives at the same time. This can be dangerous to health. Taking different brands of pills can lead to unpredictable interactions, which can increase the risk of side effects. Each preparation has its own ingredients, and combining them can intensify side effects.

In addition, taking an additional pill during the cycle can disrupt the body's natural hormonal rhythm. This can delay or reduce withdrawal bleeding and even increase your risk of pregnancy due to fluctuations in hormone levels.

Before starting any form of contraception, it is important to consult a doctor who will help you choose the right method, taking into account the patient's health. Modifying the dosage of hormones on your own without consultation can be dangerous.

Up to @Monik:

Taking an additional contraceptive pill in case of vomiting is warranted. I encourage you to continue taking your pills according to the schedule on the package. Starting the blister the next month a day earlier is possible and should not lead to a shortening of the cycle.

The standard interval between cycles is 7 days, and it is best to start a new blister on the day you normally start a new cycle. In such a situation, it is best to equip yourself with a spare blister for such an eventuality.

If you have doubts about this situation, it is always worth consulting a doctor who can provide more personalized advice. If you are not able to make a face-to-face visit, I attach a link to the online teleconsultation:

Hi, this month I took an extra tablet as I vomited one night and took a second tablet for fear of not being covered.
Can I complete next month's blister pack a day earlier to avoid having one less pill pack each month? If so, how many days can I take the break? When do I complete the 20 days? Thank you

Anna Lewandowska Pharmacist, Editor

To @Monika:

In your situation, extending the use of birth control pills by a week may have disrupted your hormonal cycle, which probably caused unexpected heavy bleeding after 10 days of new packaging.

In this situation, I recommend that you continue taking the pills as scheduled. I also encourage you to consult a gynecologist. Your doctor will assess the situation and may adjust your hormone therapy to avoid further disruption to your cycle. Please also monitor the intensity and duration of bleeding. Hello, I used the contraceptive pills levonorgestrel / ethinylestradiol a week longer. After that, I took a 7-day break as always. After the break, a normal period (bleeding) occurred. Now I take another pack and suddenly after the 10th day there was heavy bleeding. I don't know what's going on, should I continue taking the pills? I have been using the pills for years.

Anna Lewandowska Pharmacist, Editor

To @Edyta:

The absence of withdrawal bleeding after a 5-day break can be worrying, but if you have taken two pregnancy tests that were negative, the risk of pregnancy is small.

Bleeding between the 15th and 17th tablet can be called mid-cycle bleeding, which is relatively common when using oral contraceptives. Symptoms such as lower abdominal pain and overflowing sensation may be related to other factors, such as hormonal disorders.

If you have any further doubts, it is worth consulting your attending physician. If you are unable to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation here:

To @Каріна:

If you are 2 days late in starting a new pack of contraceptive pills, start taking your pills as soon as possible, even if it means taking two pills in one day.

In this situation, the contraceptive effectiveness may be reduced, please use an additional method of contraception, such as condoms, for the next 7 days. There is also a risk of pregnancy, especially if you had intercourse during an extended break.

In the future, please try to strictly follow the recommended pill schedule.

During this period, menstruation passed after the pills were discontinued, and the usual, new cycle was supposed to begin, but it did not start, this may be due to the fact that I drank two days later, and what to do in this situation, everything will return to normal?

To @.@.@.@.@:

Euthyrox can affect the menstrual cycle by regulating thyroid hormone levels. Thyroid hormones play an important role in regulating the menstrual cycle. Both hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism can affect the regularity of menstruation. Taking Euthyrox is aimed at restoring normal thyroid hormone levels, which should help normalize the menstrual cycle.

Please remember that a delay in menstruation can have various causes. If you have irregular bleeding, the best option is to consult your doctor, who can perform appropriate tests and adjust your treatment if necessary.

To @.@.@.@.@:

If so many weeks have passed since intercourse (265 days = about 37 weeks) and the HCG beta result is still <0.2, to ciąża jest wykluczona, ponieważ poziom tego hormonu w ciąży byłby znacznie wyższy.

If you took a tablet from the new blister on Thursday morning and the previous tablet on Wednesday evening, it means that you have taken two tablets in quick succession. If this happens, you should continue taking the tablets on your normal schedule.

On Thursday at 8:00 p.m., you should take another pill from the new blister, i.e. pill number 2. Continue taking your tablets at the same time each day, in the direction of the arrow on the blister.

To @Majjka:

My guess is that the result is thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH). The TSH norms are not constant values, their size depends, m.in on age, gender or the method of determination used in the laboratory, so the result should be compared with the norm given on the printout of the test results. An elevated result may indicate hypothyroidism or Hashimoto's disease, but also other conditions.

When interpreting research, it is important to look at it as a whole, rather than just a fragment of it. To interpret the results and discuss the effectiveness of your treatment, please contact your treating doctor. The Gdziepolek.pl portal also allows you to take advantage of teleconsultations:

To @anonimo:

If you accidentally took 3 contraceptive pills in one day, there is no reason to worry about the effectiveness of contraception. However, side effects such as headache and abdominal pain, nausea and spotting may occur.

Please continue to take the tablets regularly as usual.
Spotting may persist for several days, but it should go away on its own. There is no need to stop taking the tablets or start a new pack.

To @Натуся:

The appearance of brown discharge when taking birth control pills is quite common and usually does not cause for concern. This is especially popular at the beginning of therapy. It can be caused by several factors, m.in.:

Hormonal changes: Birth control pills contain synthetic hormones that affect your menstrual cycle and can cause minor bleeding or spotting between periods. It is the body's reaction to the hormones provided.

Irregular pill intake: Failure to follow the recommendations to take the pills regularly at the same time can lead to hormonal imbalances and spotting.

Change in the thickness of the lining of the uterus: Under the influence of the progestogens in the tablets, the lining of the uterus changes, which may result in minor bleeding or brown discharge.

If the spotting is minor and disappears after a few days, it should not cause concern. However, in the case of heavy bleeding or prolonged spotting, it is worth consulting a gynaecologist to rule out other causes. If you have doubts about this situation, it is always worth consulting a doctor who can provide more personalized advice. How to continue taking the pills? Should I continue taking the pills at the same time tomorrow (Monday) and use an additional blister in the missing window from Saturday? Should I skip the dose tomorrow and postpone the whole week so that I can take the Friday pill on Saturday? The next week will start as planned.

To @Кира:

I understand that you have problems with regular hormone intake, which affects menstruation.

In this situation, you should contact the attending physician who prescribed you the contraceptive pills. Explain to him exactly what is going on and ask him what to do to get your cycle back on track. Please do not try to regulate the dosage of hormones yourself.

Also, try to be more systematic in your hormone intake - always at the same time of day, it can be in the morning or in the evening, and the package should be carried in your purse or, better yet, together with your toiletries so that you always have easy access to it.

You should keep a menstrual calendar to keep track of changes in your cycle. This will help your doctor better understand your situation and adjust your treatment. You should also avoid stress as much as possible, maintain a healthy lifestyle and a proper diet, as these factors can also affect the regularity of your cycle.

As an outsider, I am not in a position to give you individual medical advice on the basis of a brief description alone. If you do not have the opportunity to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation here:

Hello. A few months ago, I drank hormonal inaccurately. I could have forgotten to drink yesterday morning and today's one evening the next day. Because of this, problems began. Menstruation occurs during the first pill and stops on the same day. Or they go 2 days before taking 1 pill and also run out. Before that, everything was stable. Menstruation has always been stable for 5 days, and here it is. What to do in such a situation? How to shift the days so that menstruation goes again on the days of withdrawal, as it should be?

Anna Lewandowska Pharmacist, Editor

To @Anne:

Yes, taking an extra Vibin tablet during your cycle may have an effect on withdrawal bleeding. This can delay or reduce withdrawal bleeding. This is because an extra dose of hormones can shift or weaken the natural bleeding cycle.

If the bleeding does not occur in the expected time, it may be because you have just taken an extra tablet. However, this does not adversely affect the contraceptive effect. If bleeding does not occur, there is no cause for concern.

Ania (Anonymous, 188.47.117.) 4 months ago

If you have opened one tablet too many by mistake and it remains in the blister window open for several days, this should not have a negative effect on the tablet. The most important thing is to continue taking the pills as directed.
