To sum up, when it comes to the dosage of Ozempic, the dose of 0.25 mg is not a maintenance dose and is only used to adapt the body. In contrast, the dose of 1 mg per week is the maximum dose. If Ozempic is added to existing metformin treatment, the existing doses of metformin are possibly those that are modified - but also no need to do so, they may remain unchanged. In your case, the dose of metformin is not the maximum dose, rather quite standard and it all depends on why it was introduced.
