Co-Prestarium is a two-component drug, while Telmizek contains one active substance.
The angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors in Co-Prestarium have the same pharmacological effect as the sartan in Telmizek – both inhibit the action of angiotensin II. Co-Prestarium also contains a substance from the group of calcium channel blockers, which relaxes blood vessels, thus facilitating the work of the heart and lowering blood pressure. Perhaps the doctor noticed that Co-Prestarium lowers your blood pressure too much, hence the decision to switch to a 1-component drug.

One of the indications for Telmizek is "Reduction in the incidence of cardiovascular disease in patients with overt atherosclerotic disease (history of ischaemic heart disease, stroke or peripheral arterial disease) or type 2 diabetes mellitus with documented complications affecting the target organs" Co-Prestarium does not have this type of indication – it is a drug indicated to normalize blood pressure.

Therefore, follow your doctor's instructions and start treatment with Telmizek. The use of this drug in your case seems justified.
