Can combining Aspertin with Atarax cause lockjaw?
9.99 zł

Hello, when I take half an asertin tablet in the morning and take atarax before bedtime, why do I feel weak and have a slight lockjaw? In general, my blood pressure is good, and I've been taking half a tablet for two weeks, I don't increase the dose because I felt good. And I don't know if it's emotions or if I have to sign up for therapy again:(

To @Paulina:

As mentioned below, in this situation it is best to consult a doctor who, having full information about your health, the medications used and the course of the disease, will recommend appropriate treatment, e.g. adjust the doses of medications or modify the treatment accordingly. The fact that you take both drugs at different times of the day does not exclude the possibility of interactions. The appropriate concentration of drugs in the body is maintained for a long time. For example, sertraline (Asertin) has a half-life of about 26 hours, which means that after this time, only half of the dose is eliminated from the body. In the case of hydroxyzine (Atarax), this time is about 14 hours.

Combining Aspertin and Atarax may increase the risk of side effects of Asertin, which include m.in lockjaw. Consult your doctor, you may need to reduce your dose of Atarax.
