Does Efracea affect muscle strength and endurance? Can Efracea cause muscle or joint pain?

Efracea may cause side effects such as back pain, muscle and joint pain. The occurrence of side effects of the drug can affect muscle strength and endurance. Patients with myasthenia gravis (with excessive muscle fatigue) are at risk of worsening.

Some patients using the drug to treat m.in Lyme disease may experience a so-called Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction, causing fever, chills, headaches, muscle aches and skin rashes. The occurrence of the above reaction should be consulted with a doctor, but it is usually self-limiting.
