After a break in Methotrexate, can the symptoms of joint pain and stiffness return after two weeks?

Good morning
Is it possible that after stopping taking methotrexate (a break of 2 weeks caused by taking an antibiotic), the symptoms of joint pain and stiffness return 2 weeks after the last dose?

Yes, it is possible. Methotrexate is an immunosuppressive drug that works to reduce inflammatory symptoms such as joint pain and stiffness, especially in rheumatic diseases. After stopping its use, even for a short time, symptoms may return, as the body returns to its pre-treatment state. I would recommend that you consult your doctor to assess your condition and consider further treatment to effectively manage your symptoms.

If you are unable to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation here:
