Azitrolek and Sumamed contain the same active ingredient - azithromycin (an antibiotic belonging to the group of macrolides). The preparations can be used interchangeably, provided that the same form of the drug (e.g. tablet, suspension) and the same amount and dose are maintained. The principle of admission is the same. If you have not been allergic to Sumamed in the past, Azitrolek should also be well tolerated. During (and after) antibiotic therapy, probiotics should be used to replenish the intestinal flora and prevent gastrointestinal side effects.
