You can gradually reduce the dose of macrogol, e.g. use 1 sachet a day, then 1 every other day, 1 every third day, etc.
If you are afraid of constipation after sudden discontinuation of Forlax, you can, for example, replace it with lactulose – a product with a similar, but even milder effect than macrogol.
