Chronic use of Controloc (more than a year) should be supervised by a doctor. Long-term use of proton pump inhibitors (e.g. Controloc) is associated with the risk of side effects such as: increased risk of bone fractures, digestive disorders, intestinal inflammation, magnesium deficiency. The standard treatment procedure for gastroesophageal reflux disorders does not provide for continuous use of the drug for many years, but in some clinical cases, the doctor may recommend a different dosage than indicated in the leaflet.
