Both drugs lower blood glucose levels and can be combined when monotherapy (the use of one drug) is insufficient.
To avoid hypoglycaemia (an excessive drop in blood glucose levels), you should strictly follow the dosing schedule agreed with your doctor.
In the event of alarming symptoms, such as general weakness, nausea or vomiting, increased heart rate, increased sweating, restlessness and trembling hands, enlarged pupils, impaired coordination of movements, problems with vision and breathing, you should urgently consult a doctor.
