Hello, I have a cardiologist in a month. I have been prescribed captopril 25 mg on an ad hoc basis for a blood pressure spike. Unfortunately, I feel very bad after taking drugs from this group. I was prescribed Polpril 2.5, unfortunately I also did not tolerate this drug well. Is there any fast-acting drug to lower blood pressure with a composition other than captopril? I also had to stop taking nitridipine. Thank you for your help, best regards

The drug used to quickly lower blood pressure is Captopril. Any other treatment options should be discussed with your doctor (preferably a cardiologist). It may be necessary to stabilize the pressure in hospital conditions in the case of intolerance to a large number of groups of antihypertensive drugs.
