Can I breastfeed while taking Dulsevia?

Dulsevia should not be used by women who are breastfeeding. The decision on whether to implement treatment should be made by a doctor assessing the balance of benefits to possible risks for the child.

Information contained in the summary of product characteristics:

"In a study of 6 patients who did not breastfeed their babies during lactation, it was found that duloxetine was very poorly excreted in breast milk. The estimated daily dose in milligrams per kilogram body weight for infants is approximately 0.14% of the maternal dose. The use of Dulsevia during breastfeeding is not recommended because the safety of duloxetine in infants has not been established."
