What can spotting and abdominal pain with Atywia tablets indicate?
17.00 zł

Hello. I have been taking birth control pills for over 3 years. In July I changed my pills to atywia. For a few days now I've had brown spotting and a slight stomach pain, as if I'm on my period, and I'm halfway through the blister. I've never had such a situation. I take the pills regularly. What can this indicate?

Such spotting can last several days, but also the whole cycle - it is an individual matter.

Thank you for your reply. However, will such spotting stop or will it persist all the time? For me, it has been going on since Saturday and it still hasn't stopped

In the first few months after changing the contraceptive, spotting or mid-cycle bleeding and lower abdominal pain (e.g. such as during menstruation) may occur. This is completely normal and quite typical – during this time, the body gets used to the supply of hormones and such reactions may occur.
If you take the pill regularly and do not take other medicines that could impair the effectiveness of contraception, there is no need to worry, you are protected.

If the situation repeats in the next 2-3 cycles, you can consult a gynecologist.

If you are unable to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation here:

Here you can check the availability of the medicine and make a reservation:
